General Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to general equipment and spare parts purchases requiring surveys and installations.
In this agreement ACK means Advanced Commercial Kitchens Ltd. By submitting an order with ACK the customer agrees to apply the terms and conditions of this agreement in priority over any other agreement between the parties.
ACK may vary terms and conditions from time to time by publishing new terms and conditions on the ACK website and marketing materials.
This agreement is governed by English law and the parties shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Requirements for gas/electric appliances and spare parts
The buyer should check product specifications and suitability before ordering.
It is mandatory that all appliances and spare parts are installed, commissioned and serviced by a qualified and competent person as defined by the regulations in the U.K.
A Gas Safe registered engineer must install all gas appliances. A competent engineer must install all other appliances. Failing to do this will invalidate any warranty.
Please note: If installing commercial gas appliances the connection shall comply with local regulations, your premises must meet certain legal requirements with regards to extraction and ventilation.
Advanced Commercial Kitchens Ltd. will not be held liable for incorrect installation, maintenance, modification or unauthorised service work.
Warning and Precautions
Gas appliances must be installed by a competent installation engineer in accordance with the installation instructions and should conform to the following requirements:
- Do not obstruct or block the appliance flue.
- Installation must include sufficient ventilation to prevent the occurrence of unacceptable concentrations of substances harmful to health in the room in which they are installed.
- It is recommended that the appliance is sited under an extraction canopy for the removal of combustion products
- After operation, some parts of the appliance will remain hot for a period of time. Please take care to avoid accidental burns.
- All equipment must be earthed to prevent shock.
- Do not connect directly to any flue, ducting or mechanical extraction system.
- Installation should allow for a sufficient flow of fresh air for gas combustion.
- Parts which have been protected by the manufacturer or his agent must not be adjusted by the installer or user.
Requirements for electrical appliances
It is a requirement that any electrical appliances or parts purchased are installed by a qualified engineer. A certificate from the engineer should be made available to the buyer.
Please note that all gas related works for customers are carried out by our sister company Advanced Engineering (Gas Safe Register No. 108974) on behalf of Advanced Commercial Kitchens Ltd.
The customer agrees that ACK shall not be liable for any losses or damage suffered by the customer including but not limited to loss of business, business interruption or loss of time, due to the use or purchase of the goods by the customer.
